We are pleased to present one of the most spontaneous improvisers in North Indian classical music, Arnab Chakrabarty, a well-known master of the notoriously difficult, 19-stringed sarod.

With over three decades of experience on his instrument and a career that has seen him give over a thousand concerts in thirty countries, Chakrabarty plays in an ornate style that exploits the full range of the sarod. He will be accompanied on the tabla by the world renowned Shahbaz Hussain. This performance will be followed by a Q&A with the artists, led by Sheffield-based musician and teacher of Indian music, John Ball.
