Join us for a musical journey through landscape with the fantastically talented trio and special guest Peter Hill.

Uncharted  Territory consist of Clare O’Connell (cello), Sarah O’Flynn (flute) and Roderick Chadwick (piano) – plus a very special guest. The recital project Uncharted Territory explores the resonances of birdsong and nature in 20th century classical music, paired with a specially commissioned piece by Freya Waley-Cohen. Her piece takes inspiration from the wealth of Messiaen’s notebooks of annotated birdsong from across the globe.

They will be joined by special guest Peter Hill, award winning concert pianist and emeritus Professor at the Department of Music. Peter chose the beautiful Steinway Grand Piano in Firth Hall – so this is a wonderful chance to hear him play it.
