Most of our events take place at the heart of the university’s central campus, at The Octagon Centre, Drama Studio and Firth Court. To find the best way to get here, check out the options below.

Tram

You can catch the Supertram to the campus from the railway station and the city centre. Both the blue route to Malin Bridge and the yellow route to Middlewood stop at West Street and at the University. Find out more and how to plan your journey with the Travel South Yorkshire Journey Planner.

Bus

The nearest bus stops to our venues are on Glossop Road and Western Bank. The follow buses that stop here are H1, S6A, 30, 30A, 51, 52, 70, 95, 120, 123, 272, 273, 274, 275, 505

Taxi

There are taxi ranks at the railway station and beside the City Hall. The journey to the University should only take five minutes, but can take 15 minutes if traffic is heavy. Expect to pay around £5.

Cycling

There are a number of cycle stands at or near each of our venues.
Octagon
12 cycle stands (covered) on Durham Rd opposite the Octagon.
Firth Hall
54 cycle stands at the bottom of the steps in front of the Perak Laboratories.
Drama Studio
4 cycle stands on the Shearwood Rd side of the building.

Parking

Durham Road Carpark is in close proximity to the venues and is operated by Q-Park. Evening parking is £4.40. Click here for more info
