Sheffield, 2012. Eloisa Scrooge is the only attendee at the funeral of her business partner, Jacob Marley.

Eleven years later, on Christmas Eve 2023, Eloisa fights her way past drinkers, charity collectors and that irritating homeless person regularly outside the door of her Loans and Property Rental business. She hates Christmas-it holds bad memories.

In this new musical, with original songs and a script developed from Spectrum’s 2017 adaptation of Dickens’ classic tale, Scrooge is a woman who’s had to make her own way in a world dominated by men.

Of the 2017 original, the audience said: ‘Very funny, very clever, very heart-warming’.

Spectrum Theatre, Sheffield is an integrated theatre group, founded in 2016.

‘….a truly neurodiverse group of talented individuals’ [ Jane Monach, Sheffield Telegraph]
