Step On into a night of pure Madchester magic as the legendary Happy Mondays bring their era-defining sound to Sheffield.
Formed in 1980 in Salford, Happy Mondays fused acid house, funk and guitar swagger into something truly unique, the sound of a generation. With Shaun Ryder’s unmistakable vocals, Bez’s infamous onstage energy, and Rowetta’s soaring voice (now passed on to the powerhouse vocals of Firouzeh Berry), the Mondays helped shape the UK music landscape forever.
From their Factory Records beginnings with Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile through to the iconic platinum-selling Pills ’n’ Thrills and Bellyaches, the Mondays delivered genre-defying hits like Step On and Kinky Afro, still guaranteed to bring the party to life.
After decades of globe-spanning tours, sell-out arenas, festival anthems, and more than a little chaos along the way, the band remain one of the UK’s most loved and unpredictable live acts. Following the sad passing of bassist Paul Ryder in 2022, long-time Mondays collaborator Mikey Shine now brings the funk back to the low end, ensuring that trademark groove lives on.
With their unfiltered energy, cultural impact, and a back catalogue packed with stone-cold classics, Happy Mondays promise a show that’s part gig, part party, and all attitude.
