In association with Talking Gigs

Experience two master musicians finding common ground between the Magreb, Saharan desert and delta blues, Mediterranean melody, the taranta of Southern Italy and rocking soul. By turns powerful and intricate, Justin and Mauro weave their fascination with trance rhythms into a unique fusion of sounds.

To celebrate their new album Sweet Release, Justin and Mauro will join us for a special Talking Gigs event to discuss their collaboration in a musically illustrated interview followed by a full performance.

Justin Adams is a celebrated producer and guitarist who has earned many accolades for his work – including collaborations with Robert Plant, Tinariwen and Juldeh Camara. Mauro Durante has spent many years touring with Ludovico Einaudi and is one of the leading players of the Southern Italian pizzica style with his group Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino.

“Adams’s guitar burns like a torch in the dead of night. Mauro’s singing channels ancestral voices. Thoroughly unpredictable and profoundly meditative” – THE TIMES
